Oh, Anna, you’re like tennis gold! We’re confident about backing you when you say you’re retired, unlike some of the flip-flopping that’s been happening as of late. (What can ya do? It’s a different generation of “retirees”…)
Strut strut: Kournikova did her part as the face of K-Swiss by making a cameo at the company’s Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show last night in New York City.
Looks from the show to come.

The US Open is about to start, and that means courtside sightings of Brooklyn Decker, theSports Illustrated Swimsuit model who married Andy Roddick in April.
Brooklyn, 22, strips down for this month's GQand talks about how she met the tennis superstar.
She met her husband when his agent called hers to arrange a date. "That happens all the time to girls," Decker says, blushing a little, "but his was the one number I kept." For their first get-together, Roddick took her to dinner, then an Upright Citizens Brigade comedy show. "He was the first to admit that he kind of stalked me," Decker says. "But his line was 'It's only stalking if the other person doesn't like it.'"

Brooklyn Decker walks into New York’s Jane Hotel straight from a flight from Texas, where she’s been swimming in Austin Lake and spoiling her bulldog, Billie Jean. She’s double-take tall with a perfect mess of blond hair, ripped jeans, and a loose pink tank top draped over her nearly six-foot frame. The only jewelry she wears is a wedding band, some tiny skull earrings, and a thin gold necklace I ask her about. “Oh,” the 22-year-old Charlotte native says, checking the hardware. “It has anA on it. How cheesy.”
While Decker has no trouble attracting her own attention—she’s the star of four straight Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues and an upcoming show hosted by Dan Patrick—the man behind the A is husband Andy Roddick. Spotting Decker in the stands looking like the picture of all-American cool has become half the reason to watch Grand Slam tennis and yet another reason to root for the tireless if sometimes overshadowed Roddick: More Andy means more Brooklyn. This month the former high school cheerleader and class president will be riding the No. 7 train to Queens from the couple’s Manhattan apartment for the U.S. Open, where the red-hot Roddick will be gunning for a post-Wimbledon rematch against Roger Federer—and Brooklyn will get plenty of screen time.
Decker exudes supernatural supermodel poise, but there’s one topic that rattles even her: She met her husband when his agent called hers to arrange a date. “That happens all the time to girls,” Decker says, blushing a little, “but his was the one number I kept.” For their first get-together, Roddick took her to dinner, then an Upright Citizens Brigade comedy show. “He was the first to admit that he kind of stalked me,” Decker says. “But his line was ‘It’s only stalking if the other person doesn’t like it.’ ”—WILL WELCH

MIAMI -- Venus and Serena Williams have found a new sport: pro football.
The tennis-playing sisters will become the latest celebrities to own a stake in the Miami Dolphins, several sources told ESPN.com senior writer Greg Garber on Wednesday.
A person close to the negotiations told The Associated Press an agreement was near but not yet final. That person did not want to be identified because the announcement has not been made.
Seriously, the Williams sisters do not have any money compared to some people. 45 million between the two may sound like a lot but the owner bought the team in January for one billion. Please stop capitalizing on selling parts of the team to famous people because it looks more and more like a circus now

A few small highlights was Sam Querrey's victory over hometown favorite Rajeev Ram. Querrey was the only player accompanied by his own cheering section who dresses like ninjas and holler like frat boys the whole match. Robby Ginepri is returning to form and to the semi-finals in Indianpolis today. There were rumors floating around the tournament that this might be it's last year. With the inability to attract top players, find a title sponsor, and lack of fan support, it appeared to being losing it's gusto. With previous champions and contenders such as Pete Sampras, John McEnroe and Boris Becker it appeared to be missing that "it" factor that tournaments greatly desire and need in order to sell tickets. Despite the half naked men following Querrey around claiming to be high school friends he appears to be the favorite to take the 2009 title. EAST MANATEE — The owner of Creekside Tennis Center was arrested Monday night and charged with possession of child pornography.
According to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report, Donald Kristen Gagnon, who also goes by the name of Kris Gannon, was arrested at about 8 p.m. after an Internet Crimes Against Children Unit investigation.
Gannon, 60, is also the head tennis professional at the academy, in the 6700 block of 47th Avenue East.
The investigators received information from a local computer repair shop owner that a laptop computer Gannon brought to the store contained images depicting teenage boys posing nude and in their underwear.
The images were posted in a folder titled “students” on the hard drive.
The sheriff’s investigators seized the computer and obtained a search warrant.
After a full examination of the computer files, thousands of pictures of child erotica and children performing or posing in sexually explicit activities were found.
Gannon was being held in the Manatee County jail on $45,000 bond.
Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Detective Todd Sellitto at the sheriff's office at 747-3011, ext. 1909.
According to the academy's Web site, Gannon built the two-court facility and is rated a "Professional 1," the highest pro rating given by the United States Professional Tennis Association.
Gannon previously worked at Bath & Racquet Club in Sarasota, Bradenton Country Club and Holiday Inn on Longboat Key, according to the Web site. He also was a dock master for 20 years at Sunny Shores Marina in Bradenton, the site said.
“I enjoy introducing people of all ages to the sport that I love, and instructing them to play better,” Gannon is quoted as saying on the center's Web site. “I often point to the skills of concentration and focus.
“Teaching is a never-ending learning experience for me. I enjoy the outside and the challenge of creating a unique tennis environment for learning.
“I hope to encourage young junior players to enjoy the game and teach them the skills that will allow them to compete in tournaments.”
According to his Facebook profile, Gannon was a 1968 graduate of Manatee High School
